Suncoast Arts Fest Awards 11 Arts Grants!

The members of the Fine Arts of the Suncoast want to thank all of you for applying for our first “Arts for Kids” Grants. Each year, the organization presents the Suncoast Arts Fest in January to raise funds for arts education in our community. In the past, these funds have been used in a variety of ways. However, last year, a survey of the arts teachers in Pasco was done and the overwhelming majority of the arts teachers suggested that the funds would be best used to provide grants directly to the classroom art teachers. This is the first round of grants to be awarded.

All the grant applications we received were worthy of an award. A total of about $5000 was available so not all the grants could be funded and the awards committee had a very difficult time choosing the following 11 award grants. The following applications were selected for funding –
