Meet the J.W. Mitchell High School Band!

The JW Mitchell High School Band (JWMHS Band) consists of the 130 member Marching Mustangs Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and the Jazz Ensemble.

In 2010, the Marching Mustangs took 2^nd place in class 5A at the Largo Golden Invitational and won the prestigious Pride and Class Award, had an awesome performance at the Newsome Invitational, and received straight superiors at the marching performance assessment through the Florida Bandmaster’s Association!

The JWMHS Band Guard performs along with the Marching Mustangs, in PRISM, and will continue with Winter Guard this semester.

The JWMHS Jazz Band was featured at the Suncoast Arts Fest on January 23^rd, 2011 and they often perform shows at outside venues.

The JW Mitchell High School Band Boosters, an organization comprised of band member parents, helps to support the efforts of the growing band program. Through the JW Mitchell High School, the JW Mitchell High School Band Booster Association is able to accept your donations towards fundraising efforts.
